The book of Romans is the most deeply theological book in the New Testament.  It can be difficult to understand.   This book launched the Reformation in the early 16^th century when Martin Luther’s search for peace with God resulted in a personal epiphany.  A key verse for Luther’s light-bulb-moment was:

Romans 1:17a
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,

A presentation by the Rev. Kent Organ on Romans inspired Dennis Rich to study this book more deeply.  This led him to focus on Chapters 5, 6, and 7.  We will discuss key verses from these chapters.  Our hope is that all attendees will be blessed and that each of us come away with deeper insights into our Christian faith.

Oasis Service – A special invitation to you from Pastor Chuck:

We would be delighted if you would join us for our monthly Oasis Service on Thursday, May 8th at 7pm in our Southminster chapel.

On Thursday evening, May 8th, we will continue our new tradition of Oasis Spiritual Gatherings in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. We introduced this quiet, contemplative, reflective, candlelit service after our All-Church Potluck on March 11th.  We continued it on Good Friday.  Now, Kari Sealund and I plan to offer this tender time together on the second Thursday of the month.  Please join us and bring family members and friends with you!
