Children & Teens

Clean Up – Give Back, the nonprofit that receives our pliable plastics, will provide all that we need: vests, gloves, pick-up sticks, garbage bags, bug spray, sunscreen, and water. They suggest that you wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, as we will be in the woods where ticks are prevalent.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 10:00-11:30 am at Busse Woods. We will meet at Busse Woods Grove 5, at the intersection of Higgins Road and Arlington Heights Road. If you google these  coordinates, it will provide you with a map to find the group: 42.02747, -87.99157.

We will be inviting all members to participate and to invite friends, family, and neighbors to join us! See the attached flyer. Hope to see you there!

This is a fun way to connect with other families at Southminster. We even provide childcare if you’d like to join one of our adult activities after we eat. All friends and neighbors are welcome! Make sure to check our food sign-up sheet outside of the sanctuary for our monthly theme and to see what you can bring.  Free-will offering is optional, but gladly accepted to help fund these monthly gatherings.
