Parents’ Day Out

Registration for FALL 2018

Our currently enrolled families and members of Southminster are invited to register on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. in the church library. ( in person )

New families wanting to join our program are welcome to register on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. in the church library. ( in person  )

Instructions for registration are as follows:

Arrival time is between 7:50 and 8:00 am. Doors open promptly at 8:00 am; forms are distributed when entering; numbers are assigned to each family; numbers are called in random order. When your number is called, your child will be placed in the age-appropriate class on the desired days. A two-month deposit is required to secure a spot in our school. Deposit applies to September 2018 and May 2019. Seven equal payments are due on the first of each month. PDO is a nine-month program. May 2019 is non-refundable. Space is limited and is filled on a first come, first served basis.

Parents’ Day Out at Southminster nurtures young children and prepares them with all the skills they will need as they grow in a loving, fun, and safe atmosphere!  At PDO, children learn and play, day by day, equipping them with the social, emotional, and academic skills they will need to be successful in school. Teachers at Southminster are current in First Aid/ CPR and have been background checked. Most of our staff have been nurturing children for 10 years or more. PDO is open to children of all religious traditions and no religious traditions. All the services and events at Southminster are open to PDO families regardless of their background. Children feel so at home at Southminster. Those who want to attend a service to feel renewed on Sunday find it an easy transition.

PDO is offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. during the regular school year. Children are grouped according to age in the following classes:

  • 11-22 months
  • 22 months to 2 years of age
  • 2 1/2- 3 years of age
  • 3 years of age
  • 3 3/4-5 years of age


The annual fee of PDO is broken down into monthly payments for ease of tracking. Monthly days of attendance will fluctuate. This is a nine-month program. Two months tuition is paid upon registration. One month tuition is non-refundable. After August 15, no refunds are issued. Tuition is due the first week of the month on the day your child attends. Late charges apply after the 10th of the month. ($15.00) Fees are not prorated for missed days, illness, or vacations. Payments can be made online, in person, or by mail.

Tuition rates are as follows: 2017-2018

  • 1 day per week – $95.00 /month
  • 2 days per week – $190.00 /month
  • 3 days per week – $285.00 /month
  • 4 days per week – $380.00 /month


Supply fee: a one-time supply fee will be collected in September. The rate is as follows:

  • $40.00 for first child
  • additional $20.00 for each child thereafter

If you need to reach us during your child’s day, call the above number and choose to speak to our office administrator so that we will get the message in a timely manner.
