Rainbow Conversation

Your Rainbow Ministry Team invites you to join us on Sunday, June 8th in the Pierce Room. 

As many of you know, June is Pride Month for the LGBTQ+ Community. This year, Southminster participated in the 7th annual family-friendly Buffalo Grove Pride Parade.  What an honor it was for all of us who represented our church for the first time in this joyous celebration. During our GIFT hour presentation, some of our marchers will share their experiences with you as well as photos taken at the parade. Then, as we view a brief but informative video on the history of Pride Month, we hope to answer the question, “Why does the LGBTQ+ community need a special parade?”  There will be time for discussion afterward.  We hope to see you there!

Oasis Service – A special invitation to you from Pastor Chuck:

We would be delighted if you would join us for our monthly Oasis Service on Thursday, June 12th at 7pm in our Southminster chapel. This is a meaningful service in candlelight, that is contemplative in nature with special music, and offers a very special opportunity to spend some time in the stillness of God’s presence.
