Plan Your Visit

Sunday Morning Schedule During the School Year (September through mid-June)

9:00-10:00 a.m. – Traditional Service

This service has a choir, sings traditional hymns, recites creeds, and offers beautiful inspiring worship.

10:00-10:10 a.m. – Coffee Fellowship

A time for coffee and treats, to meet people, learn about what’s happening in the week ahead, and catch up on each other’s lives.

10:10-11:00 a.m. – Kidzone

Kidzone is an open play area for kids ages pre-K – 4th grade to run around and let off steam before the worship service and Sunday school begins

10:10-10:55 a.m. – Education Hour

We offer education for our youth 5th – 12th grade and adults. These classes are a great way to make friends, deepen your faith, and grow in your knowledge of God.

11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Contemporary Service

This service features contemporary music and our Christian band, Central Road. The liturgy is less structured, yet offers an inspiring message.

Both services contain the same Scripture readings, prayers, and message. God speaks to us in a variety of ways, so we would invite you to visit and attend the service  that you feel you are best able to worship God. We invite you to attend coffee fellowship and the education hour between services at 10:10 a.m.

Parking

There is plenty of free parking at the church.

Accessibility

The church is handicap accessible and has accessible pews and restrooms as well.

Dress

You will see a variety of dress at a Southminster services from sport coats to jeans. The traditional service tends to be more traditional in dress. People are invited to come as they are and they do! Clothing selection should not be a barrier. Casual dress is the typical style.

Child Care

We have nursery care available from 9:20 a.m.-12:00 p.m. We want you to feel very comfortable leaving your baby, toddler, or preschooler with our paid, professional nursery caregiver. An usher can direct you to the room.

Children in Worship

You are welcome to take your children to worship with you.  We have special bulletins just for children and worship bags with a variety of activities for young children to engage in during the service. There is a children’s time during each service when children hear a message just for them and then leave worship for Sunday school while adults listen to the adult message. Parents may pick-up their children in the second floor classrooms following the service.

Special Needs

If you or your children have special needs please let us know in advance of your visit and we will try to accommodate them.

Welcome Ministry Team

Each Sunday we have members available to welcome new comers and offer them a fresh baked loaf of bread. These welcome ministers can answer any questions you have and you can fill out a welcome card with your contact information if you like.
