Cynthia Apelbaum, LPC, CADC, MA

Cynthia Apelbaum is a goal oriented, solution focused Licensed Professional Counselor and a Chemical, Drug and Alcohol Counselor who is dedicated to the improvement of emotional wellness. Over the past nine years, she has established a strong track record for helping her clients navigate life’s challenges, and better understand themselves in order to lead more fulfilling lives.

Cynthia is an empathetic listener and guide who is adept at creating a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for client centered reflection and change. She truly cares about her clients and believes each person deserves to be free from obstacles preventing them from thriving.  Therapy offers unique tools that enable people to develop effective strategies to address these challenges.

Cynthia is adept at working with individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents and groups. She has assisted many who have gone through life feeling angry, sad, anxious, stuck or overwhelmed to reduce their stress, relax, recover, move forward and thrive.  For those suffering from the wounds of childhood, alcoholic households, neglect, abuse, or discrimination, Cynthia has counseled them through the healing process.

Her areas of specialization include: Anxiety/Depression, Self Esteem/Self Image, Stress Management, Grief and Loss, Family Conflict, Relationship Difficulties, Parent/Teen Communication, Life Changes/Transitions, Career Challenges and Substance Abuse Counseling.
